Dance Style:   Ballet

Bio:
My name is Melinda Reagan Swaine. I am a triplet and my brother and sisters are the backbone of my support system. My parents put me in dance when I was about 5 or 6. They were behind me every step of the way. I thank my mom so much for everything she's done to help me in dance. Even after my dad died she did everything she could to keep up with my dance training. My family has always been very supportive of me. Dance means the world to me, second only to them. I've had 14 yrs. of ballet training and 12 yrs. of jazz training. My personal dance style is more of contemporary ballet. I dance classical ballet to anything from Fall Out Boy and Metallica to Flamenco and good ole Tchaikovsky. Over the decade + of dancing, I've studied many different dance styles. I've taken master classes with world-class dancers and choreographers. I began studying at Dance Factory in Phoenix, Arizona. I now teach there. I love every minute of it and everyday I can't wait to go to dance.

I like to think of it more as why I should EARN your vote:
I dance from the heart, which is something that no matter how much training a person has received, it cannot be taught. Think of your favorite show...the lead character is TERRIBLE. Their family is viciously killed and all they can muster up is a pouty lip. The same goes for a dancer. Even a dance performance has levels of reality. If a person loves to dance, it adds an entirely new dimension and that is something legitimate to be recognized. I like to bring a piece of myself to every dance performance, simply because dance is a very big part of who I am. Dance is my soul in tangible form. Dance has added to and enriched my life more than I can say. I hope that I earn your vote by enriching your life a little bit more.
