I'm the one because I believe that I am. Throughout my life- so far, I've met SO much challenge and adversity, that creative dance and movement has helped my self-esteem, and has been a major part of my emotional survival.
Growing up, I used dance and movement as an outlet for the emotion I felt to shy to convey. When my movement was lost- due to a near-fatal car crash, part of my own personally developed physical and emotional therapy would be to go to Dance Free- a weekly nonjudgmental freestyle dance, night. There, I was part of an accepting, warm, and dancing-hippe type family.
THAT formed the basis of my belief that I AM THE ONE- since after all, aren't we all?
Although I doubt I'll ever dance on Broadway- or Off, or Off-off! I know that I'll always have dance and creative movement as the most important part of my life.
